Creating changes in maternity and bereavement care is our mission. Our aim is to make maternity care safer, to ensure that little lives are safeguarded against bad practice. Making positive changes to legislation, protecting those precious lives and protecting families.
Our goal is to ensure that when a family experiences the devastation of baby and infant loss, at any stage of pregnancy up until the age of 4 years old - that they feel completely supported, and know exactly where to turn to for help and advice when they need it. That whole families can access a wide range of support, and also find ways of navigating the vast ocean of grief. Ways that they can memorialise their little one, in a way that they wish to.
Without the generosity of donations and fundraising we can not make these changes, we can not raise awareness, or provide the support that we do. We want to share with you what your kindness and generosity is raising funds for. Every donation is gratefully received from all of us at Theo's Foundation and from all of the families we support.
Our Work...
- Cold Cots - To give families the chance to make some precious memories and spend longer with their little ones after delivery - without these facilities families get very little time with their little ones. Each donation that funds a cold cot can be made in honour of your little one, each with a plaque featuring your little ones name. Please email us to arrange this.
- Baby Memorial Gardens - Although there are some around the UK we believe there should be one in each town so that bereaved families don't have so far to travel to spend time in nature, honouring their little ones.
- Extensive Specialist Training for Baby and Infant Bereavement Specialists
- Funding for getting legislation put in to place and for raising awareness
- Funding for Bereavement Support Groups such as our Bereavement Cafe's
- Funding to Support Families in Crisis during Bereavement for example travelling to and from a hospice
- Funding for our Whole Family Events such as our Teddy Bears Picnics, Sibling Days, Christmas Events
- Funding for Memory Boxes
- Funding for our Sleeping Angel Gowns - Specially designed gowns for smaller babies for their funeral
- Funding for our Forever Sleeping Angel Pillows - A beautiful handmade pillow for sleeping babies to lay on
- Funding for Research into Stillbirth and improving maternity care
- Funding for our Angel Family Choir
